Afrojack, whose real name is Nick van de Wall, born September 9, 1987 in Spijkenisse, is a disc jockey and producer of Dutch electro house music.

Her single Take Over Control, released in 2010 in collaboration with Dutch singer Eva Simons, ranks in the charts of many countries. In the same year, Afrojack won international acclaim by hosting Essential Mix for BBC Radio 14. On December 22, 2010, he released his first studio album Lost and Found. In 2011, Afrojack remixed the title Last Night of American DJ Ian Carey with American rapper Snoop Dogg; the same year, he collaborated on the Pitbull song, Give Me Everything, with Ne-Yo and Nayer. He also offers his participation on the title of Beyoncé, Run the World (Girls). Afrojack conducts his own record label, Wall Recordings, represented by disc jockeys such as R3hab and Sidney Samson.

After a 19th place in 2010 and a 7th place finish in 2011, he is ranked 9th in the ranking of the world's best DJ Platinists in 20127 and 2013; it fell three places in 2014. It is ranked 8th in 2015.

Biography

Van de Wall is born and raised in Spijkenisse, South Holland, and has Surinamese origins8. He is interested in a young age of music, and plays the piano at five years old9. His mother Debbie runs a local gymnastics school. After leaving school, Van de Wall studied graphic design for one year before embarking on a career as a disc jockey and music producer.

Career

At fourteen, Van de Wall became a platinum player in local bars and clubs, and at the same time earning money by creating online pages for fellow musicians. In 2007, he released In Your Face, his first song under the name Afrojack. He became internationally recognized with the title Take Over Control in collaboration with Eva Simons, who reached the musical rankings of 10 different countries10.

In 2010, Afrojack reached the 19th place of the DJ Mag. He was ranked 7th in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ in 2011, then 9th in 2012 and in 2013. In July 2010, Afrojack hosts the Essential Mix radio show on BBC Radio. He released the EP Lost and Found on December 22, 2010. In 2011, he participated in the hit number 1 rapper Pitbull Give Me Everything with Ne-Yo and Nayer, he also participates in Maldito Alcohol Cuban-American rapper. He also contributes to Beyonce's single Run the World (Girls). In January 2012 was awarded a European Border Breakers Award. His new single The Spark with Spree Wilson reaches third place in music rankings in Australia and New Zealand, as well as the top 10 in more than seven countries. In 2013, Afrojack is ranked as the 7th highest paid DJ in the world, according to Forbes magazine.

In 2011, Afrojack co-produced with other renowned artists such as Pitbull, David Guetta and Madonna. In 2012, he is among the headliners of many festivals such as Tomorrowland (Belgium), the Ultra Music Festival (Florida), the Coachella Festival (California), and the Electric Daisy Carnival (Nevada). His debut album, Forget the World, was released on May 19, 2014, and received by the trade press in a mixed way. In June, he is on a stage of the Summer Festival in Antwerp for a set noticed.

On March 17, 2015, Afrojack participates in David Guetta's single Hey Mama in which he provides the vocal passages, alongside Nicki Minaj. On April 4, 2016, he released a collaboration with Dutch singer Fais entitled Hey.

Private life

Afrojack and Paris Hilton have a relationship with the period during which he produced his second album. He is also the father of a daughter, Vegas, whose mother is the Dutch model Amanda Balk, with whom he has a previous relationship.
